MITTON HALL, WHALLEY, THE RIBBLE VALLEY, CLITHEROE, LANCASHIRE
With 10 years experience of being a wedding photographer, I’ve been to weddings at many fantastic venues but Mitton Hall has always been at the top of my list of favourite Lancashire wedding venues. Located on the outskirts of Clitheroe, Lancashire, this 15th century manor house is nestled in the gorgeous Ribble Valley. Mitton Hall is part of the James Places Group of venues so it’s part of a family of prestigious, high quality venues.
Following a major refurbishment just a few years ago, the interior of Mitton Hall now offers everything from the very traditional wood panelled walls, stone fireplace and huge chandelier in the reception area to the more modern orangery which has fantastic light from the numerous windows and glass roof which makes it perfect for your wedding ceremony, wedding breakfast and the party in to the night. Mitton Hall also offers some fantastic options for your morning preparations with the bridal suites which have beautiful four poster beds or the Conference suite which is big enough to allow you and all your bridesmaids to get ready in the same space and the huge windows at the front are perfect for your hairdresser and make-up artist to work their magic.
What makes Mitton Hall particularly special for a wedding day is the fantastic staff who will assist you with absolutely everything you need from start to finish. Their attention to detail and willingness to help will ensure your wedding goes exactly to plan so you have nothing to worry about on the big day.
BRIDAL PREPARATIONS AT MITTON HALL
Another one of reasons you may choose Mitton Hall as your wedding venue is the spectacular outdoor space available either at the front with the large gravel driveway and the impressive doorways or at the rear with the patio ideal for a drinks reception overlooking the lower gardens and the fields beyond where the sun sets on the nice summer evenings.
MITTON HALL WEDDING CEREMONY
The outdoor space makes the venue ideal for some nice relaxed bride and groom couples photos where you can just go for a walk, hand in hand round the gardens while I capture your smiles and romantic moments without having to fake it all with set up poses and smiles to the camera. Although I also love to use the indoor space of the balcony overlooking the fireplace and the chandelier which is one of the iconic views of Mitton Hall.

Catherine and Roger are such a beautiful and fun couple that had an amazing wedding in the autumn at Mitton Hall so they had some gorgeous autumnal sunlight throughout the day. Photography by Rob Georgeson Photography.
