Castle Green Hotel Wedding | Elaine & Mark

Elaine and Mark were married at The Castle Green Hotel in Kendal. Ever since Mark's Dad Keith called me a few months ago to enquire about booking me as their wedding photographer I could tell this was going to be a fantastic wedding. Elaine and Mark had chosen this venue on the edge of the Lake District because they are both very outdoors people and they loved the views from the hotel of the surrounding hills. The first time I spoke to them about their plans for the day they were very keen to be able to get away from the hotel for a little bit to get to Kendal castle and down to the river which is exactly what we managed to do in the afternoon.

The day started with Elaine getting ready with her bridesmaids in one of the hotel rooms with Mark and his groomsmen just over the other side of the corridor in a separate room. They were then married in a civil ceremony in the hotel before having an afternoon tea with their guests.

While the guests mingled out on the balcony the new Mr & Mrs Hampton had a wander through the beautiful gardens of the hotel for a few photos of them as newlyweds before we drove off to Kendal Castle where Elaine and Mark were brave enough to climb up on to the walls for a very dramatic photo. Once everyone was back at the hotel it was time for a the cake cutting, the first dance and a very nice BBQ.
