Holly & Martin’s Eaves Hall Wedding
2020 was meant to be the year I finally got to shoot a wedding at the venue that’s been at the top of my wish list for many years. Eaves Hall is part of the James’ Places group of wedding venues which are all stunning venues to get married at but Eaves Hall has been the elusive one in the group that I had yet to have the pleasure of and thanks to the Covid-19 pandemic, the weddings I had booked in for the summer of 2020 were postponed to 2021 but luckily when the day finally came around to celebrate Holly & Martin’s wedding it was a fantastic day that lived up to all expectations.
The Dream Weddings Experience
Eaves Hall is without doubt one of the finest exclusive use wedding venues in the North West. It is a glorious building surrounded by beautiful gardens set amidst the simply stunning countryside of the Ribble Valley. It is a place where breathtaking architecture, beautiful spaces and elegant gardens come together to make your dreams a reality. The thoughtfully updated interiors have been designed to bring out the best of the original features, creating a unique, contemporary country house ambience and atmosphere. With two indoor rooms and two outdoor spaces licensed for civil ceremonies, Eaves Hall is the perfect choice for small, intimate weddings or bigger blowouts for all your family and friends whatever the theme.
Holly & Martin both spent their morning preparing for the wedding day in one of the large suites available in the main hall. Holly and her bridesmaids were having their hair and make-up done while chatting about all the plans that needed finalising to make sure the day went perfectly. Meanwhile, Martin was in the suite next door with his son and best man making sure they looked their best in their suits.
As the guests started to arrive up the long driveway of Eaves Hall through the beautiful gardens, Martin was at the main entrance to greet them and direct them towards the stunning ceremony room where they would be seated in time for the bride to make her entrance down the aisle to get married. The groom was definitely the happiest man in the room during the ceremony has he wed his smiling bride watched on by all their friends and family. They were then met by a shower of confetti as they made their way out of the front of Eaves Hall a through their line of wedding guests.
The grounds of Eaves Hall are absolutely stunning all year round with plenty of greenery and colour as well as the iconic backdrop of the hall itself. Unfortunately the British weather got the better of us on Holly & Martin’s wedding day and having already abandoned the family group photos due to a torrential downpour, the newlyweds didn’t want to spend too much time outside while there were some very dark clouds on the horizon. We definitely made the best of it though and as you can see below, we captured some lovely photos of the couple enjoying some quite time together away from their wedding guests.
The speeches at this wedding had everything. Plenty of jokes to make everyone laugh, emotional stories that brought a tear to the eye and of course some highly inappropriate comments from the best man ending in a very funny game of Mr & Mrs. Then once the evening reception started, the bride and groom did the traditional cutting of the cake and their first dance before being joined on the dancefloor by their guests to enjoy the party.
