I recently arranged a styled bridal shoot at the stunning Lancashire Wedding Venue, Bashall Barn which is located just outside of Clitheroe. Putting together a styled shoot like this takes more than just a Bashall Barn Wedding Photographer, so I pulled together a team so that we had fully styled hair and make-up, a beautiful wedding dress and groom’s suit, a fantastically colourful bouquet and a gorgeous flower hoop backdrop. None of this could have happened without the help and cooperation of the on-site wedding planner at Bashall Barn. The aim of the photoshoot was for a number of wedding suppliers to collaborate their skills to produce a beautiful set of photos and to show off one of the region’s most unique and stunning wedding venues in the heart of the Ribble Valley.

Bashall Barn Wedding Photographer
Our models for the day, posing as a bride and groom are actually a real husband and wife who’s wedding I photographed nearly 6 years ago. Holly was really excited to get back in to a wedding dress again and have that bridal experience one more time. About a week before our photoshoot, Holly went for a visit to Amelia’s Bridal shop in Clitheroe to try on a few dresses to see what style most suited her and the dresses she was given both looked absolutely stunning. Holly started the day by having her hair and make-up done by Jae from Bliss Bridal Beauty which certainly made my job as a Bashall Barn wedding photographer a lot easier because Holly looked absolutely stunning so every photograph I took was a winner. Since planning her own wedding and falling in love with the whole concept of weddings and the wedding industry, Holly has recently started her own business, Walls In Bloom, hiring out flower walls so she brought along a flower hoop which looked amazing in the ceremony room at Bashall Barn.
Bridal Preparations for a Bashall Barn Wedding
One of the things that makes Bashall Barn a perfect wedding venue is that it needs little in the way of decoration. With the stunning views over the Ribble Valley from the huge balcony and rustic wooden interior which is always beautifully lit thanks to the wall of glass patio doors, I always look forward to working there as a Bashall Barn wedding photographer. I’m also really looking forward to later in the year when the outside wedding ceremony area will be completed adding another dimension to the whole wedding experience at Bashall Barn.
